A newspaper with one readerEvery morning, 6:30$19, once
The morning paper about you.
Not the feed. Not forty notifications. A real newspaper with one reader, written for you every night: your day, the people waiting for you, the news on your subjects, a story, a crossword. Ten minutes, then you put the phone down knowing the day.
Set up in 20 minutes tonight. Arrives every morning after that. Made by Roksana, who reads hers at 6:30.

It is not that we are given a short life. We are given a long one and we waste most of it.Retold from Seneca, On the Shortness of Life
Sound familiar?
1The alarm goes off and the phone is in your hand before your feet touch the floor.
2A payment that bounced. A client who wrote at 1 a.m. Three "quick questions" from the team. The news on top of all of it.
3Twenty minutes later you've read everything, decided nothing, and your pulse says the day is already behind.
The science desk
Your body wakes you with a cortisol surge: about 50% higher within 30 to 45 minutes of opening your eyes. It is bigger on workdays than on weekends, and researchers link its size to the demands you expect from the day. Pour twelve apps of other people's demands into that window and you've spent your edge before you've stood up.
Cortisol awakening response: a rise of 38–75%, peaking 30–45 minutes after waking; larger on workdays. Clow et al.; Thorn et al., 2006. Summarised at Wikipedia.
The information isn't the problem. The format is.
Your Times is a newspaper with exactly one reader, written while you sleep: what actually needs you today, in order, on one page. Then the world: your subjects with their sources, one beautiful object, a chapter of your own novel, good news, a crossword. No feed, no badges, nothing to scroll. You read it, and the day is yours.

It is not that we are given a short life. We are given a long one and we waste most of it, so that at the end we discover it is over before we noticed it had begun.
The hours that are guarded, and spent on purpose, are the only ones that feel long.

A sole built to be replaced. The Met, public domain
Resole Before You Replace
A good shoe is a sole and an upper that agreed to meet again.
This shoe is at least eleven hundred years old. Its sole was stitched on separately so a cobbler could take it off and put on a new one, which someone did, more than once. The gilded dots on the strap were never needed. Somebody wanted them anyway.
KeepOne pair you love, resoled, outlives five pairs you tolerate.
AskBefore buying, ask whether the maker resoles. The good ones do.
One beautiful thing a day, and how to live with it.

The Serial · a novel written for Roksana
Chapter 12 · The Lighthouse Keeper's Daughter
What the tide left on the steps
Inês found the box at six, before the ferry horn, wedged between the third and fourth step where the river always leaves things it cannot decide about. It was small and dry, which was the first strange thing. The second was her name on the lid, in her father's hand, though her father had been dead for a year and had never once, in her memory, written anything down.
Inside the box was a key, a tide table from 1987, and a note that said only: Thursday, when the water is lowest. Today was Thursday. She checked the table anyway. The lowest water of the month was in six days, at 5:41 in the morning, and it fell on a Thursday.

Cartier Cheich, in white gold
HK$26.5 millionSotheby's Hong Kong · September 22, 2026
The Cheich is modelled on the emblem of the Paris–Dakar Rally, a turbaned Tuareg head; four originals in yellow gold were made as rally prizes in the 1980s. At about US$3.38 million with premium, this one set two records at once: the most valuable Cartier watch ever sold at auction, and the most valuable quartz wristwatch.
A reader has been offered a well-paid project that starts Monday and will take most of October. She also promised herself October was for the book. Which side is right?Lisbon, Thursday
Keep the mornings. Give the project the afternoons and say so on Monday, in writing. A project that pays well will survive a 1 p.m. start. The book will not survive another month of promises.

Yours carries your name, your city, your subjects, your novel. Pictures come from the article itself, museum open collections and NASA, always credited. The only fiction is the serial, and it says so.

Celebration editions
Tell it what you're waiting for. The morning my visa was approved, the paper came out as a special edition. The day I crossed 25,000 followers, the front page was a celebration. Birthdays, launches, round numbers: it watches, and marks the day.

The paper noticed before you did.
You own it
Weather in Fahrenheit, no politics, a page about your running plan, a different novel? Say it in one sentence and tomorrow's edition follows. No settings page. It's your paper.
Nothing invented
Every story is from a source published in the last 24 hours, and the source is printed under it. If it can't be verified, it isn't in the paper.
It can print itself
Have a printer? Follow the included setup and the paper is in the tray before you wake up. No printer? It lives on your Home Screen like an app. Mine does right now.
A novel nobody else will read
A chapter every morning in the genre you choose, set in your city if you like. It remembers where it left off. Thirty chapters, then a new one begins.
Who's waiting for you
The people you haven't answered on mail, Slack, Telegram and iMessage, on page one, with how long they've waited. Not the whole inbox. Only what needs you.
The Mini, every morning
A five-by-five crossword you solve on the phone with a tap, built and checked by a script so it always works. Sudoku on Sundays.

Letters to the editor
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You paste the code into Claude and fill in the questionnaire. The guide shows every click.
What do I need?
Claude on your computer and a Google account for your calendar and mail. Printing needs any home printer. That's all.
Who sees my mail and messages?
Only your own Claude. Everything runs inside your account. I never see your data, and your paper is never public.
Is the news real?
Yes. Every story is from a source published in the last 24 hours, and the source is printed under it. If something can't be verified, it isn't in the paper.
How do celebration editions know?
The questionnaire asks what you're waiting for or counting. When the moment comes, that morning's paper comes out as a special edition.
Does my computer need to be on in the morning?
No. The paper is written in the cloud and is waiting on your phone when you wake up. Your computer only matters for the three things that live on it: printing at home, your own app, and iMessage. For those, the Claude desktop app has to be open at edition time; the guide shows how to make a Mac wake up on its own.
Can I get a refund?
If you follow the guide and your first edition doesn't arrive within an hour, DM a screenshot to @theendofjobs within 24 hours of buying and you get your money back the same day. Beyond that, no: it's a digital download and you keep everything.
Does it work with ChatGPT or Grok?
No. Your Times is built for Claude.
Tomorrow could start differently.
Twenty minutes tonight. One calm page in the morning. $19, once.
